We Need Your Help!

KSB/VIPS Annual Family Retreat Nov. 4 & 5

Visually Impaired Preschool Services, VIPS, 
& Kentucky School for the Blind, KSB,  
2nd Annual Family Conference.  
Friday and Saturday, November 4 & 5, 2016

We are in need of volunteers for Friday and Saturday to provide a great camp experience to children ages birth to 18. Camp will take place at KSB, Kentucky School for the Blind on Frankfort Ave, Louisville KY . We are looking for adults who are energetic and willing to step in when needed. You will be working one-on-one with a VIPS/KSB student or siblings.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Junior, Willie Barksdale!!! He entered his painting entitled “Alicia” into the APH InSights 2016 art competition and won Second Place in the category for Tenth, Eleventh, Twelfth Grades.

They received over 300 entries this year. Wilie and his mom are invited to receive his award in person at the 148th Annual Meeting of APH Ex Officio Trustees and friends on Friday, October 7.

InSights is an art competition and exhibition for visually impaired and blind artists of all ages. The exhibition will be shown in Louisville, Kentucky and also worldwide on APH’s website. Works in the exhibition are selected from entries submitted for jurying.

Conference sponsored by KSB and VIPS (Visually Impaired Preschool Services) for families of children who are blind and visiually impaired

Sessions to include experts on topics such as Independent Living, Orientation and Mobility, Office for the Blind, Michelle P. Waiver and others. 

All events will be held at Kentucky School for the Blind - 1867 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206.

We only have room for 50 families so don't delay!
