KSB is pleased to announce that we will offer three new Career and Technical Education courses. The mission of Career and Technical Education is to assist schools in providing students with skills necessary for a successful transition to postsecondary education or work and a desire for life-long learning in a global society. The Kentucky Department of Education has been expanding this program area throughout our state.
The classes within the program include:
Digital IT Academy with Microsoft Certifications.
Podcasting/Multimedia class. Partnering with WCHQ Crescent Hill Radio to offer a multimedia class focusing on digital technologies.
Once a student is enrolled in 4 classes (over two years) in the CTE program they are eligible to take a KOSSA test. KOSSA is one of two measures that can be given to students to meet the career ready technical portion of college and career readiness. KOSSA tests are aligned to CTE Career Pathways.
