Robbin Cox is the Outreach Consultant for KY School for the Blind, serving the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative region that includes 19 counties and 24 school districts. As their consultant she works with the school districts by assisting in reducing barriers to learning associated with a vision loss and providing students access to the general curriculum, the Kentucky Core Academic Standards, and Expanded Core Curriculum for Students with Visual Impairments. Prior to this position, she was the Teacher for the Blind and Visually Impaired in McCracken County School System, Paducah Independent School System and Ballard County School System. She was also a special education teacher at Lone Oak Middle School in Paducah, KY. Her education degrees are from Mississippi University for Women, University of Mississippi, and University of Louisville. She is an active member of KAER, KY Chapter of the Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Western KY chapter of National Federation for the Blind. She lives in Paducah with her husband Chip. They are the parents of two sons and new grandparents.
