The KSB Administrative Team was hopeful that students would be able to return to in person instruction on Oct. 5; however, KSB will continue with all virtual instruction at this time. This decision was made through incorporating input from parents, staff (60% of whom are or live with someone in the high-risk category) and through use of the “COVID-19 Mode of Instruction Metrics for K-12 Education” published jointly by the Kentucky Department for Public Health (KDPH) and the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE).
As of today, the county in which KSB is located and many counties where our students reside are still in the orange zone. We are continually monitoring the situation and working with the Louisville Metro Health Department to determine when we are able to return to in-person instruction.
We will be making another delivery of materials for students next week and will communicate the schedule to our students and families no later than Wednesday, Sept. 30.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the KSB Administrative staff with any questions you may have.
